Collection: Skinny Girls Don't Get It
I'm a believer of girl power. I'm an advocate for female empowerment. In a post covid world when there are so many other topics we could explore, women are still fighting for equal pay and rights to govern our own bodies. The fact is, I am a thick, body-positive girl living in a world that would rather me hide my size than accentuate the gifts my individuality has to offer or fix the system that creates the challenges we face.
You all know what I'm saying, sweating your hair out because you went up a flight of stairs. Thick Thighs that save lives but wear out the middle of your jeans/tights and we aren't even going to start with how we have to pay extra to slay because of the "extra fabric".
According to researchers at Yale University, 10% of women said they were discriminated against because of their weight. According to the CDC, plus-size women are 10% more likely to be depressed than men. These numbers grow even higher with our children since covid. I want to encourage women to Love Who You Are… Where you are! Fix your crown and share your story and be a blessing to another princess who may be struggling with developing into a Queen. Your words matter!
